4,200 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 4,200 bed nights (+91.3 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Hanko in April 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 50 % and non-registered 50 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 11,900 (+26.6 %). Share of registered was 51 % and non-registered 49 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 75 percent
In April 2021, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Hanko (+74.7 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 380 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 75 percent from last year's April.
1,900 nights (+106.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 186 nights (-32.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 5,600 registered bed nights (+19.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 530 (+89.6 %) for foreigners in Hanko, in total 6,100 (+23.7 %) registered nights.

1,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.9 percent were domestic, and 7.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.7 nights (+0.26) and foreigners 4.9 nights (-5.8).

Accommodation sales 208,000 euro
Total accommodation sales in April were 208,000 euro (+101,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 32.2 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 141,000 euro (+65,100) and non-registered sales 66,900 euro (+35,600).
Total January-April sales were 590,000 euro and they decreased 31,900 euro from the previous year.
