Registered bed nights increased 149 percent

In March 2022, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Hanko (+149.1 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 320 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 122 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 2,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 149 percent from last year's March.

1,700 nights (+98.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 880 nights (+405.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,700 registered bed nights (+21.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 410 (+183.3 %) for foreigners in Hanko, in total 5,100 (+27.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+104.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+69.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 378,000 nights (+701.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hanko out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 133 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.7 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-0.62).

Total January-March sales were 428,000 euro and they increased 46,100 euro from the previous year.
