3,900 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 3,900 bed nights (+49.7 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Hanko in March 2022. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 68 % and non-registered 32 %.
Between January and March, the number of paid bed nights was 8,700 (+12.3 %). Share of registered was 59 % and non-registered 41 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 149 percent
In March 2022, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Hanko (+149.1 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 320 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 122 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 2,300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 149 percent from last year's March.
1,700 nights (+98.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 880 nights (+405.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 4,700 registered bed nights (+21.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 410 (+183.3 %) for foreigners in Hanko, in total 5,100 (+27.6 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 133 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.7 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 3.7 nights (-0.62).

Total accommodation sales in March were 188,000 euro (+70,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 18.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 154,000 euro (+84,300) and non-registered sales 34,100 euro (-14,300).
Total January-March sales were 428,000 euro and they increased 46,100 euro from the previous year.
