In January 2023, 9,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Haparanda (+67.4 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 99 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 67 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Belgium (1,200 nights).
