Paid bed nights

73,000 registered bed nights

In February 2023, 73,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (-15.9 %), of which 66,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 16 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (3,200 nights).

15,300 rooms (-11.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,200 rooms (-16.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 123,000 registered bed nights (-18.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,600 (-2.9 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 133,000 (-17.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.1 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 2.1 % (-0.9 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay was 4.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Härjedalen, length of stay in February was on average 4.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.3 nights (-3.1 %) and foreigners 4.8 nights (+4.9 %).

17,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.3 nights (-0.39) and foreigners 4.8 nights (+0.48).
