Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In May 2022, 22,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (+20.6 %), of which 18,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's May.

2,800 rooms (+98.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+73.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 319,000 registered bed nights (-4.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 21,900 (+327.2 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 341,000 (+0.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

8,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.3 percent were domestic, and 18.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 2.8 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.8).
