Registered bed nights increased one percent

In December 2021, 54,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (+0.5 %), of which 51,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 117 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's December.

11,500 rooms (-2.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (+51.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 629,000 registered bed nights (+22.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 40,700 (+64.0 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 669,000 (+24.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.6 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-1.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

12,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.4 percent were domestic, and 7.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.3 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-0.81).
