Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In September 2021, 34,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (+10.2 %), of which 28,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 270 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's September.

6,600 rooms (+16.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+25.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 544,000 registered bed nights (+27.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 32,900 (+58.1 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 577,000 (+28.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.8 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

12,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.4 percent were domestic, and 19.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 2.8 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.01).
