91,900 registered bed nights

In March 2019, 91,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (-11.5 %), of which 87,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 12 percent from last year's March.

17,500 rooms (+2.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,900 rooms (+25.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 257,000 registered bed nights (-2.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,900 (-28.8 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 274,000 (-4.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 2.0 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. In Härjedalen, length of stay in March was on average 4.3 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.3 nights (+0.7 %) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-8.7 %).

21,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.0 percent were domestic, and 5.0 percent were from foreign countries.
