69,200 registered bed nights

In January 2020, 69,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (-6.0 %), of which 65,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased six percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's January.

13,900 rooms (-9.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,700 rooms (+61.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 797,000 nights (-0.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 1.8 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Härjedalen, length of stay in January was on average 4.7 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.8 nights and foreigners 4.1 nights .

14,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.9 percent were domestic, and 6.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 4.8 nights (+0.25) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+0.36).
