100,000 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 100,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (-7.5 %), of which 92,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's February.

21,600 rooms (+11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,600 rooms (-27.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 158,000 registered bed nights (-6.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,100 (-12.2 %) for foreigners in Härjedalen, in total 169,000 (-6.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 2.3 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay was 5.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Härjedalen, length of stay in February was on average 5.0 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 5.0 nights (+1.4 %) and foreigners 4.9 nights (-2.3 %).

20,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.4 percent were domestic, and 7.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 5.0 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 4.9 nights (-0.44).
