5,500 registered bed nights

In September 2021, 5,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Härnösand (-10.4 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 136 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 10 percent from last year's September.

2,200 rooms (+16.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (-50.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 49,300 registered bed nights (+13.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (+241.1 %) for foreigners in Härnösand, in total 54,900 (+22.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härnösand out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härnösand on average 1.8 nights (-0.53) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.3).
