Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2020, 6,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Härnösand (+9.4 %), of which 6,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 210 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 64 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (83 nights).

1,900 rooms (-9.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+42.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 43,400 registered bed nights (-13.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,700 (-81.4 %) for foreigners in Härnösand, in total 45,000 (-23.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härnösand out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.0 percent were domestic, and 4.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härnösand on average 2.3 nights (+0.44) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.29).
