Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In December 2018, 4,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Hässleholm (+1.1 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 610 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (83 nights).

820 rooms (-13.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+76.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 95,900 registered bed nights (+5.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,400 (+18.5 %) for foreigners in Hässleholm, in total 116,000 (+7.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 787,000 nights (+3.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hässleholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 28 percent compared to earlier year. In Hässleholm, length of stay in December was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hässleholm on average 2.0 nights (-1.4 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-14.2 %).

2,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.1 percent were domestic, and 14.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hässleholm on average 2.0 nights (-0.8) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.53).
