Paid bed nights

14,600 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 14,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Haugesund And Haugeland (-51.4 %), of which 14,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 510 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 45 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 89 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 51 percent from last year's May.

1,600 nights (-74.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,800 nights (-69.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 39,100 registered bed nights (-59.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,500 (-43.4 %) for foreigners in Haugesund And Haugeland, in total 44,600 (-57.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.0 million registered bed nights (-62.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 959,000 nights (-51.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 70,600 nights (-90.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Haugesund And Haugeland out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Haugesund And Haugeland, length of stay in May was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 2.7 nights (+46.1 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haugesund And Haugeland on average 2.0 nights (-6.0 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+47.9 %).

7,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 51 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.
