Paid bed nights

19,000 registered bed nights

In October 2020, 19,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Haugesund And Haugeland (-7.8 %), of which 15,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 53 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's October.

6,300 nights (+54.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 10,500 nights (-24.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 79,800 registered bed nights (-63.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,900 (-72.8 %) for foreigners in Haugesund And Haugeland, in total 90,700 (-64.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (-32.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (-22.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 139,000 nights (-70.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Haugesund And Haugeland out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 2.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Haugesund And Haugeland, length of stay in October was on average 1.5 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (+14.4 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haugesund And Haugeland on average 1.5 nights (-11.3 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.4 %).

12,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.3 percent were domestic, and 18.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haugesund And Haugeland on average 1.5 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.73).
