Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 104 percent

In April 2021, 13,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Hedmark Region (+103.9 %), of which 12,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 104 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 102 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 104 percent from last year's April.

3,700 nights (+947.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,800 nights (+175.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 42,300 registered bed nights (-26.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-62.4 %) for foreigners in Hedmark Region, in total 44,700 (-30.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.5 percent

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hedmark Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. In Hedmark Region, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hedmark Region on average 2.1 nights (-1.9 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+46.1 %).

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 280 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.8 percent were domestic, and 3.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hedmark Region on average 2.1 nights (-2.0) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.65).
