Registered bed nights increased 55 percent

In October 2021, 20,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Heinola Region (+55.1 %), of which 20,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 54 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (84 nights).

17,700 nights (+70.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,900 nights (+0.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 157,000 registered bed nights (+42.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,700 (-30.5 %) for foreigners in Heinola Region, in total 161,000 (+39.3 %) registered nights.

Registered bed nights increased 58 percent (Heinola)

In October 2021, 19,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Heinola (+58.3 %), of which 19,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 270 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 57 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 58 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (84 nights).

16,700 nights (+80.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,600 nights (-10.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 135,000 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 for foreigners in Heinola, in total 138,000 registered nights.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+47.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+39.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 200,000 nights (+149.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Heinola Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 74 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.4 percent were domestic, and 1.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Heinola Region on average 2.0 nights (-0.27) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.7).
