Registered bed nights increased 196 percent
In April 2021, 15,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Helgeland (+196.4 %), of which 14,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 195 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 196 percent from last year's April.
3,500 nights (+320.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,300 nights (+153.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 55,500 registered bed nights (+22.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,400 (-2.8 %) for foreigners in Helgeland, in total 60,000 (+20.1 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Helgeland, length of stay in April was on average 2.1 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helgeland on average 2.1 nights (+20.9 %) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+63.3 %).
7,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 180 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helgeland on average 2.1 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.03).
