Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 154 percent

In June 2021, 66,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Helgeland (+153.8 %), of which 64,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 155 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 124 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 154 percent from last year's June.

21,500 nights (+67.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 14,000 nights (+7.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 148,000 registered bed nights (+71.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,100 (+23.0 %) for foreigners in Helgeland, in total 155,000 (+68.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.4 percent

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helgeland out of total registered bed nights was 2.4 % (+1.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Helgeland, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helgeland on average 1.6 nights (+6.4 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+39.3 %).

41,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 125 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.0 percent were domestic, and 2.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helgeland on average 1.6 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.35).
