Registered bed nights increased 30 percent

In September 2021, 61,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+30.3 %), of which 46,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 87 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 30 percent from last year's September.

22,400 rooms (+33.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 13,000 rooms (+27.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 436,000 registered bed nights (+11.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 89,000 (+44.8 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 525,000 (+16.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

34,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 38 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.0 percent were domestic, and 22.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 1.7 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.04).
