Registered bed nights increased 110 percent
In December 2021, 39,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+109.8 %), of which 33,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 103 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 153 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 110 percent from last year's December.
14,000 rooms (+94.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,900 rooms (+86.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 560,000 registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 119,000 (+55.2 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 679,000 (+25.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 166 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.8 percent were domestic, and 12.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 1.5 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.3).
