Helsingborg: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased seven percent
In August 2022, 110,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+7.2 %), of which 86,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 23,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (4,600 nights).
31,000 rooms (+11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 16,800 rooms (+31.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 478,000 registered bed nights (+22.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 124,000 (+66.7 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 602,000 (+29.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.2 percent were domestic, and 16.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (-0.24) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.21).
