46,900 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 46,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (-28.1 %), of which 39,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 28 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,400 nights).

16,800 rooms (-20.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 10,200 rooms (-48.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 390,000 registered bed nights (-22.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 61,500 (-55.6 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 452,000 (-29.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.8 %.

25,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.4 percent were domestic, and 16.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 1.9 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.4).
