26,900 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 26,900 bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (-44.9 %), of which 22,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 41 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 61 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 45 percent from last year's March.

9,000 rooms (-41.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,300 rooms (-50.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 91,600 bed nights (-5.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,400 (-12.3 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 116,000 (-6.9 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.

13,600 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 85.9 percent were domestic, and 14.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (+0.3) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.06).
