Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In September 2019, 65,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+9.0 %), of which 46,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 18,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's September.

19,000 rooms (+18.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 18,900 rooms (+1.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 501,000 registered bed nights (+2.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 139,000 (-5.2 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 640,000 (+0.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Helsingborg, length of stay in September was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (-0.5 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-2.7 %).

31,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 75.4 percent were domestic, and 24.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.3).
