123,000 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 123,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (-12.9 %), of which 113,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 62 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 13 percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,100 nights).

33,300 rooms (+4.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,600 rooms (-48.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 281,000 registered bed nights (-26.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 44,900 (-53.8 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 326,000 (-31.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.8 %.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Helsingborg, length of stay in July was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.6 nights (+15.7 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+5.6 %).

49,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.2 percent were domestic, and 10.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.6 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.11).
