Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In March 2021, 28,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+4.5 %), of which 23,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's March.

9,600 rooms (+33.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,700 rooms (-24.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 62,600 registered bed nights (-31.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,600 (-56.7 %) for foreigners in Helsingborg, in total 73,200 (-36.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Helsingborg, length of stay in March was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (+6.7 %) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+93.8 %).

13,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.1 percent were domestic, and 9.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 2.0 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.1).
