Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 27 percent

In June 2021, 7,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Hitra And Frøya (+26.5 %), of which 7,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 191 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,000 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's June.

1,400 nights (-14.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights (+41.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 22,700 registered bed nights (+29.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (+95.7 %) for foreigners in Hitra And Frøya, in total 23,800 (+31.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hitra And Frøya out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 15 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Hitra And Frøya, length of stay in June was on average 2.4 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hitra And Frøya on average 2.3 nights (+14.7 %) and foreigners 32 nights (+47.9 %).

3,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.8 percent were domestic, and 0.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hitra And Frøya on average 2.3 nights (+0.26) and foreigners 32 nights (+26).
