Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In March 2023, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Höganäs (+12.7 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 570 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's March.

1,200 rooms (+23.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 520 rooms (+29.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 9,300 registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (+2.2 %) for foreigners in Höganäs, in total 10,600 (+4.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Höganäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 27 percent compared to earlier year. In Höganäs, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 1.8 nights (-36.3 %) and foreigners 1.2 nights (-37.9 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.7 percent were domestic, and 18.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 1.8 nights (-0.76) and foreigners 1.2 nights (-0.28).
