Registered bed nights increased 45 percent

In May 2022, 16,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Höganäs (+44.8 %), of which 12,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 750 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 45 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,700 nights).

3,000 rooms (+74.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (+152.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 29,800 registered bed nights (+53.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,200 (+639.1 %) for foreigners in Höganäs, in total 36,000 (+77.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Höganäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

8,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 59 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.0 percent were domestic, and 23.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 1.9 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.26).
