Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In August 2020, 27,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Höganäs (+13.9 %), of which 25,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 73 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,000 nights).

3,800 rooms (+25.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 197 rooms (-83.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 100,000 registered bed nights (+25.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,100 (-71.3 %) for foreigners in Höganäs, in total 107,000 (+2.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Höganäs out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Höganäs, length of stay in August was on average 5.6 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 5.9 nights (+18.5 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-36.6 %).

4,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.3 percent were domestic, and 11.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 5.9 nights (+0.91) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-3.8).
