Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 28 percent

In August 2021, 18,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Huddinge (+27.6 %), of which 16,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 28 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (270 nights).

3,800 rooms (+27.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,400 rooms (+9.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 99,700 registered bed nights (+14.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,000 (-51.8 %) for foreigners in Huddinge, in total 111,000 (+0.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Huddinge out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Huddinge, length of stay in August was on average 2.6 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Huddinge on average 2.5 nights (+9.5 %) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-28.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.2 percent were domestic, and 8.8 percent were from foreign countries.
