Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In March 2023, 7,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Hudiksvall (+22.6 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 680 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 32 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's March.

1,800 rooms (+28.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+21.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 17,900 registered bed nights (+40.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,000 (+26.0 %) for foreigners in Hudiksvall, in total 19,900 (+38.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hudiksvall out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Hudiksvall, length of stay in March was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hudiksvall on average 2.3 nights (+9.8 %) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+7.9 %).

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hudiksvall on average 2.3 nights (+0.24) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.48).
