Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In May 2022, 8,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Hudiksvall (+22.1 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 56 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (310 nights).

1,500 rooms (+37.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+43.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 24,500 registered bed nights (+35.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+35.6 %) for foreigners in Hudiksvall, in total 27,500 (+35.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hudiksvall out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.3 percent were domestic, and 9.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hudiksvall on average 1.9 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.1).
