Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In June 2019, 17,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Hudiksvall (+21.3 %), of which 15,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (700 nights).

1,900 rooms (+29.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+20.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 41,500 registered bed nights (+14.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,700 (+15.1 %) for foreigners in Hudiksvall, in total 48,200 (+14.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hudiksvall out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Hudiksvall, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hudiksvall on average 2.3 nights (+9.9 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-5.7 %).

8,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.6 percent were domestic, and 19.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hudiksvall on average 2.3 nights (+0.29) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.16).
