930 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 930 bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (-86.1 %), of which 900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 32 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 84 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 97 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 86 percent from last year's May.

350 nights (-90.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 590 nights (-81.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,900 bed nights (-47.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (-41.7 %) for foreigners in Iisalmi, in total 15,100 (-46.6 %) nights.

Total of 300,000 bed nights (-81.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 280,000 nights (-74.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 19,500 nights (-95.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Iisalmi out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

550 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 85 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.0 percent were domestic, and 2.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.7 nights (-0.01) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.06).
