Registered bed nights increased 52 percent

In October 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (+51.8 %), of which 5,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 197 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (55 nights).

3,400 nights (+45.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,000 nights (+63.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 50,500 registered bed nights (+25.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,500 (-24.3 %) for foreigners in Iisalmi, in total 53,000 (+21.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+47.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+39.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 200,000 nights (+149.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Iisalmi out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 49 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.5 percent were domestic, and 2.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.6 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-2.4).
