Registered bed nights increased 17 percent
In December 2019, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (+16.8 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 760 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 167 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's December.
2,600 nights (+2.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,300 nights (+38.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 69,700 registered bed nights (+15.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,200 (+99.1 %) for foreigners in Iisalmi, in total 79,900 (+21.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
