In March 2020, 3,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (-33.8 %), of which 3,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 410 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 46 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 34 percent from last year's March.
1,900 nights (-42.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,900 nights (-22.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 10,800 registered bed nights (-23.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,100 (+5.7 %) for foreigners in Iisalmi, in total 12,900 (-20.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Iisalmi, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.8 nights (-5.8 %) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+6.2 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.2 percent were domestic, and 6.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.8 nights (+0.22) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+0.21).
