Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In June 2021, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (+30.7 %), of which 8,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 65 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 49 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (20 nights).

5,100 nights (+10.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,200 nights (+85.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 22,400 registered bed nights (+17.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 760 (-67.1 %) for foreigners in Iisalmi, in total 23,200 (+8.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.7 million registered bed nights (+53.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.6 million nights (+53.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 80,200 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Iisalmi out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 2.2 nights (-0.18) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.96).
