Registered bed nights increased 39 percent
In January 2022, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Iisalmi (+38.6 %), of which 2,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 270 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 54 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 39 percent from last year's January.
1,200 nights (+56.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (+24.7 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Iisalmi, length of stay in January was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 2.4 nights (+10.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.5 nights and foreigners 5.3 nights .
1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Iisalmi on average 1.5 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 5.3 nights (+1.6).
