Registered bed nights increased 96 percent (March)
In March 2022, 13,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Imatra Region (+95.8 %), of which 13,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 610 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 88 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 96 percent from last year's March.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (129 nights).
10,200 nights (+141.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights (+24.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 31,400 registered bed nights (+43.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (+481.9 %) for foreigners in Imatra Region, in total 32,700 (+48.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 81 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Imatra Region on average 2.2 nights (+0.17) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.56).
