5,100 registered bed nights
In January 2021, 5,100 bed nights were recorded in Imatra Region (-73.8 %), of which 5,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 67 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 100 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 74 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (29 nights).
4,300 nights (-76.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 870 nights (-45.6 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

2,700 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 75 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Imatra Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.28) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.05).

The number of foreign visitors in January was 440 (-99.5 %). Out of them 360 were on a daytrip and 72 stayed at least for one night.
Total consumption of these visitors in Imatra Region in January was 72,000 euro (165 per visitor). Overnight visitors spent 14,700 euro and day visitors 57,400 euro.
