7,400 registered bed nights (March)

In March 2021, 7,400 bed nights were recorded in Imatra Region (-8.7 %), of which 7,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 49 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 54 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 99 percent. In total, bed nights decreased nine percent from last year's March.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Russia (12 nights).

4,200 nights (-38.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,200 nights (+148.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 22,200 bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 220 (-99.1 %) for foreigners in Imatra Region, in total 22,400 (-52.0 %) nights.

Total of 863,000 bed nights (-13.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 816,000 nights (+11.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 47,500 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Imatra Region out of total bed nights was 0.9 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,700 tourists arrived to accommodation (March)

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 99.2 percent were domestic, and 0.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Imatra Region on average 2.0 nights (+0.12) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.01).

The number of foreign visitors in March was 580 (-98.5 %). Out of them 520 were on a daytrip and 62 stayed at least for one night.

The cumulative number of foreign visitors between January and March was 2,100 (-99.1 %).

Total consumption of these visitors in Imatra Region in March was 94,500 euro (162 per visitor). Overnight visitors spent 12,600 euro and day visitors 82,000 euro. Between January and March the consumption was 338,000 euro.
