13,200 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 13,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Imatra (-17.1 %), of which 13,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 17 percent from last year's September.

8,800 nights (-24.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,500 nights (+0.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 86,900 registered bed nights (-12.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,600 (-62.5 %) for foreigners in Imatra, in total 114,000 (-33.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (-32.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 92,200 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Imatra out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

6,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Imatra on average 2.1 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 6.1 nights (+4.6).

A total of 23,800 Russians arrived in Finland over the eastern border crossings.

There was a total of 610 visa applications to Finland made by the Russians. 60.7 percent were done at St. Petersburg's consulate.

Accommodation sales 762,000 euro

Registered accommodation sales in September were 762,000 euro (-104,000).

Registered January-September sales were 5.1 million euro and they decreased 3.2 million euro from the previous year.
