Registered bed nights increased nine percent (February)
In February 2020, 28,200 bed nights were recorded in Inari Excl. Saariselkä (+9.2 %), of which 2,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 25,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 77 percent and foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, bed nights increased nine percent from last year's February.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from France (6,000 nights).
20,600 nights (+3.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,600 nights (+27.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 4,900 bed nights (+65.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 50,000 (+12.1 %) for foreigners in Inari Excl. Saariselkä, in total 55,000 (+15.5 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Total of 1.8 million bed nights (+7.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.2 million nights (+10.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 613,000 nights (+1.9 %) by foreigners.
The market share of Inari Excl. Saariselkä out of total bed nights was 1.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 4.2 %.
10,500 tourists arrived to accommodation (February)
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 15.5 percent were domestic, and 84.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Inari Excl. Saariselkä on average 1.6 nights (-0.08) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-0.03).
8,600 air travelers (Ivalo)
The airport received a total of 8,600 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 55 percent.
Of local passengers, 13.6 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 86.4 %.
In addition, there were 11,300 passengers departing the airport (-43.1 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 19,900.

Registered accommodation sales in February were 2.1 million euro (+656,000).
Registered January-February sales were 4.1 million euro and they increased 1.5 million euro from the previous year.
