Registered bed nights increased 74 percent
In June 2021, 10,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Inari Excl. Saariselkä (+74.4 %), of which 10,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 77 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 74 percent from last year's June.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (180 nights).
8,000 nights (+49.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,700 nights (+250.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 24,000 registered bed nights (+83.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-96.0 %) for foreigners in Inari Excl. Saariselkä, in total 26,600 (-66.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.0 percent were domestic, and 5.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Inari Excl. Saariselkä on average 1.8 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.65).

Total accommodation sales in June were 831,000 euro (+164,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 39.5 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 503,000 euro (+250,000) and non-registered sales 328,000 euro (-86,100).
Total January-June sales were 3.2 million euro and they decreased 5.1 million euro from the previous year.
