7,900 registered bed nights (November)

In November 2019, 7,900 bed nights were recorded in Inari Excl. Saariselkä (-3.2 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, bed nights decreased three percent from last year's November.

Between January and November, 51,800 bed nights (-1.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 113,000 (+18.3 %) for foreigners in Inari Excl. Saariselkä, in total 165,000 (+11.2 %) nights.

5,300 nights (-8.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,500 nights (+11.3 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.6 million bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (+5.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 453,000 nights (+3.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Inari Excl. Saariselkä out of total bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.3 %.

3,900 tourists arrived to accommodation (November)

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 24.5 percent were domestic, and 75.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Inari Excl. Saariselkä on average 1.9 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.18).

9,000 air travelers (November, Ivalo)

The airport received a total of 9,000 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 18 percent.

Of local passengers, 13.7 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 86.3 %.

In addition, there were 6,200 passengers departing the airport (-23.1 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 15,100.
