Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In May 2022, 221,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Innlandet (+46.3 %), of which 196,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 24,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 750 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's May.

62,000 nights (+83.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 24,700 nights (+52.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 890,000 registered bed nights (+44.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 289,000 (+1,950.8 %) for foreigners in Innlandet, in total 1.2 million (+87.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 7.5 percent

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+88.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+55.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 663,000 nights (+546.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Innlandet out of total registered bed nights was 7.5 % (-2.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 8.6 % and foreign bed nights 3.8 %.

96,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 69 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.4 percent were domestic, and 16.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Innlandet on average 2.4 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-1.8).

Accommodation sales 66.5 million crowns

Registered accommodation sales in May were 66.5 million crowns (+34.6 million).

Registered January-May sales were 422.6 million crowns and they increased 253.0 million crowns from the previous year.
