Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 43 percent

In May 2021, 151,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Innlandet (+43.0 %), of which 148,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 26 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 43 percent from last year's May.

33,700 nights (+142.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,200 nights (+46.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 615,000 registered bed nights (+17.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,100 (-94.4 %) for foreigners in Innlandet, in total 630,000 (-18.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 9.7 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+51.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+52.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 103,000 nights (+45.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Innlandet out of total registered bed nights was 9.7 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 10.1 % and foreign bed nights 2.9 %.

Length of stay was 2.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Innlandet, length of stay in May was on average 2.7 nights and in Norway 2.5 nights (-8.0 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Innlandet on average 2.7 nights (+16.3 %) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-10.7 %).

56,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.5 percent were domestic, and 1.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Innlandet on average 2.7 nights (-0.5) and foreigners 3.4 nights (+1.4).
