31,700 registered bed nights (February)

In February 2020, 31,700 bed nights were recorded in Jämsä Region (-9.5 %), of which 22,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and foreign bed nights decreased three percent. In total, bed nights decreased 10 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (6,900 nights).

25,700 nights (-14.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,000 nights (+20.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 37,600 bed nights (+3.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,300 (+5.7 %) for foreigners in Jämsä Region, in total 53,900 (+4.4 %) nights.

Market share 1.7 percent (February)

Total of 1.8 million bed nights (+7.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.2 million nights (+10.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 613,000 nights (+1.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jämsä Region out of total bed nights was 1.7 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.5 %.

10,500 tourists arrived to accommodation (February)

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 74.6 percent were domestic, and 25.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämsä Region on average 2.9 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-0.15).
