Registered bed nights increased 111 percent (March)

In March 2021, 29,200 bed nights were recorded in Jämsä (+110.7 %), of which 28,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 124 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 38 percent. In total, bed nights increased 111 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Netherlands (560 nights).

23,600 nights (+158.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,600 nights (+18.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 82,000 bed nights (+63.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-85.1 %) for foreigners in Jämsä, in total 84,600 (+25.0 %) nights.

Total of 863,000 bed nights (-13.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 816,000 nights (+11.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 47,500 nights (-82.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jämsä out of total bed nights was 3.4 % (+2.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.5 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 106 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämsä on average 3.0 nights (+0.12) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-1.0).

Accommodation sales 1.4 million euro (March)

Total accommodation sales in March were 1.4 million euro (+682,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 25.9 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 1.1 million euro (+613,000) and non-registered sales 373,000 euro (+69,500).

Total January-March sales were 4.0 million euro and they increased 878,000 euro from the previous year.
