Total of 29,000 bed nights (+2.1 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Jämsä in April 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 74 % and non-registered 26 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 160,000 (+2.6 %). Share of registered was 78 % and non-registered 22 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
21,400 registered bed nights (April)
In April 2023, 21,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Jämsä (-4.3 %), of which 20,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 920 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 24 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased four percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Netherlands (500 nights).
12,000 nights (-21.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,400 nights (+32.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 107,000 registered bed nights (-7.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,900 (+31.1 %) for foreigners in Jämsä, in total 124,000 (-3.5 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.4 percent were domestic, and 5.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämsä on average 3.0 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.1).

Total accommodation sales in April were 963,000 euro (+7,400). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 32.4 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 651,000 euro (-59,000) and non-registered sales 312,000 euro (+66,500).
Total January-April sales were 6.0 million euro and they increased 570,000 euro from the previous year.
