Registered bed nights increased 37 percent
In May 2022, 94,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Jämtland County (+36.6 %), of which 73,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 310 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 37 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (10,400 nights).
17,900 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 19,100 rooms by business visitors.
Between January and May, 768,000 registered bed nights (-48.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 99,700 (+192.4 %) for foreigners in Jämtland County, in total 868,000 (-43.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
