95,100 registered bed nights

In November 2018, 95,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Jämtland County (-14.7 %), of which 77,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 16 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 15 percent from last year's November.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (13,000 nights).

15,800 rooms (+18.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 18,600 rooms (-12.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 2.1 million registered bed nights (-4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 587,000 (+2.9 %) for foreigners in Jämtland County, in total 2.7 million (-3.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+2.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+0.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 784,000 nights (+9.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jämtland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.7 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.8 % and foreign bed nights 2.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Jämtland County, length of stay in November was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-2.5 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämtland County on average 2.4 nights (-8.7 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.9 %).

40,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.2 percent were domestic, and 20.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämtland County on average 2.4 nights (-0.5) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.51).
