51,700 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 51,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Jämtland County (-83.2 %), of which 48,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 82 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 83 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (530 nights).

6,000 rooms (-85.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,100 rooms (-70.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 1.0 million registered bed nights (-24.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 146,000 (-34.6 %) for foreigners in Jämtland County, in total 1.2 million (-26.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.3 million registered bed nights (-70.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-65.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 114,000 nights (-88.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jämtland County out of total registered bed nights was 4.1 % (-3.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.2 % and foreign bed nights 2.6 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Jämtland County, length of stay in April was on average 4.1 nights and in Sweden 2.5 nights (+16.7 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämtland County on average 4.0 nights (+8.2 %) and foreigners 8.3 nights (+18.0 %).

12,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 82 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämtland County on average 4.0 nights (-0.62) and foreigners 8.3 nights (+4.7).
