9,200 registered bed nights

In December 2021, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-23.8 %), of which 6,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 24 percent from last year's December.

3,000 rooms (+20.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-49.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 122,000 registered bed nights (+15.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,900 (-26.2 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 146,000 (+5.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 65.9 percent were domestic, and 34.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 4.0 nights (-0.71) and foreigners 3.0 nights (-0.32).
