7,900 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 7,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-20.3 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 20 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (590 nights).

1,200 rooms (-18.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (+6.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 89,900 registered bed nights (-33.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,700 (-48.4 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 118,000 (-37.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

3,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 81.6 percent were domestic, and 18.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 2.0 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+1.5).
