Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In May 2022, 6,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+23.2 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 810 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 30 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's May.

1,300 rooms (+182.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+2.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 56,300 registered bed nights (+6.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,400 (+191.6 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 75,600 (+27.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 62 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.6 percent were domestic, and 15.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 2.3 nights (-0.53) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.9).
