Registered bed nights increased 44 percent
In September 2021, 11,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+43.6 %), of which 8,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 44 percent from last year's September.
2,500 rooms (+106.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-19.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and September, 106,000 registered bed nights (+17.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,100 (-31.1 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 125,000 (+6.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.4 percent were domestic, and 22.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 2.0 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-1.1).
