Registered bed nights increased 44 percent

In April 2021, 16,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+44.3 %), of which 15,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 770 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 49 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 44 percent from last year's April.

2,800 rooms (+72.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+13.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 47,900 registered bed nights (+0.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,000 (-72.7 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 53,900 (-22.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

4,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.7 percent were domestic, and 6.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 3.7 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-2.1).
