15,100 registered bed nights

In December 2018, 15,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-19.9 %), of which 9,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 31 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 20 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,200 nights).

2,300 rooms (-41.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,000 rooms (+15.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 155,000 registered bed nights (+7.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 53,500 (-0.0 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 208,000 (+5.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 787,000 nights (+3.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Jokkmokk, length of stay in December was on average 4.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 6.8 nights (-1.8 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+6.6 %).

3,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 37.0 percent were domestic, and 63.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 6.8 nights (+2.3) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.38).
