5,900 registered bed nights

In October 2019, 5,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-33.5 %), of which 4,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 920 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 58 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 34 percent from last year's October.

690 rooms (+6.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (-14.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 140,000 registered bed nights (+1.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 54,600 (+15.0 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 194,000 (+4.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 3.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 74 percent compared to earlier year. In Jokkmokk, length of stay in October was on average 3.3 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-0.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 3.4 nights (-41.8 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-44.1 %).

1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 153 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.5 percent were domestic, and 19.5 percent were from foreign countries.
