24,200 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 24,200 bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-10.0 %), of which 14,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 25 percent and foreign bed nights increased 26 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 10 percent from last year's February.

5,700 rooms (-11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,700 rooms (+6.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 23,900 bed nights (-29.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,500 (+10.5 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 40,300 (-17.3 %) nights.

Total of 4.4 million bed nights (+2.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+3.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 928,000 nights (-2.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

9,800 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 53.4 percent were domestic, and 46.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 2.7 nights (-0.39) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.46).
