11,100 registered bed nights

In April 2020, 11,100 bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (-55.3 %), of which 10,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 520 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 50 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 86 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 55 percent from last year's April.

1,600 rooms (-63.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-17.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 47,800 bed nights (-37.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 22,000 (-17.6 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 69,900 (-32.4 %) nights.

Total of 1.3 million bed nights (-69.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.2 million nights (-64.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 117,000 nights (-87.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total bed nights was 0.9 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

3,100 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 96.6 percent were domestic, and 3.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 3.5 nights (+0.53) and foreigners 4.8 nights (+2.8).
