Registered bed nights increased 40 percent
In May 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+39.7 %), of which 4,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 620 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 92 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Spain (178 nights).
450 rooms (+123.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+85.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 52,700 registered bed nights (+2.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,600 (-70.3 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 59,300 (-19.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
