Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In April 2022, 19,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+21.6 %), of which 16,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Finland (770 nights).

4,800 rooms (+67.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,800 rooms (+58.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 50,400 registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 18,500 (+208.2 %) for foreigners in Jokkmokk, in total 68,900 (+27.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 4.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Jokkmokk, length of stay in April was on average 4.1 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 4.3 nights (-12.7 %) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+9.8 %).

4,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 33 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.0 percent were domestic, and 17.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 4.3 nights (-0.31) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+0.25).
