257,000 registered bed nights

In August 2018, 257,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping County (-1.2 %), of which 165,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 92,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (45,300 nights).

39,300 rooms (-1.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 33,400 rooms (-2.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 909,000 registered bed nights (-1.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 387,000 (-4.8 %) for foreigners in Jönköping County, in total 1.3 million (-2.4 %) registered nights.

The market share of Jönköping County out of total registered bed nights was 3.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.8 % and foreign bed nights 3.4 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping County, length of stay in August was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-1.9 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping County on average 1.7 nights (+0.5 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-0.1 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.5 percent were domestic, and 25.5 percent were from foreign countries.
