Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 24 percent

In February 2023, 39,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (+23.8 %), of which 33,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 24 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's February.

13,600 rooms (+37.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 13,500 rooms (+30.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 66,400 registered bed nights (+44.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,200 (+57.5 %) for foreigners in Jönköping, in total 79,600 (+46.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping, length of stay in February was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.4 nights (-2.2 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+23.8 %).

27,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.3 percent were domestic, and 13.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.4 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.18).
