Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In June 2019, 95,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (+10.0 %), of which 70,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 24,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's June.

23,600 rooms (+24.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 19,000 rooms (+14.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 289,000 registered bed nights (+7.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 63,300 (+4.3 %) for foreigners in Jönköping, in total 352,000 (+7.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.6 nights (-2.2 %) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-4.2 %).

60,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 71.7 percent were domestic, and 28.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.6 nights (-0.03) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-0.1).
